Well, we braved the blizzard and drove to SLC to visit with Dr. Price this morning. Actually the blizzard-like conditions ended abruptly at the point of the mountain. It was weird. It was perfectly clear on the other side of the point.
I guess it was a productive visit. He can start to eat (actually drink) now. Brent's liver numbers were high this last week, which isn't good, so he needs to start eating to get his liver functioning again. The TPN is very hard on the liver, and he has not eaten or drank anything since November. He will start very slowly with clear liquids, move up to full liquids, and we will see what happens from there.
We were hoping for more agressive answers in regards to the Malecott drain. Dr. Price won't remove it until Brent can go 2 weeks without unclamping it. He is fine keeping it closed during the day, but at night when he lays down on his side he gets violently ill. We think that the drain somehow blocks the intestine when he is laying down. Ugh. So, now we get to try it again at night.
Other than that, there is really no new news to share. He has been able to work more, which helps with the extreme boredom. We found out today that our new Subaru loves the snow, and performs fabulously in it. :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for the update -- no time to talk as we pass in the hall at church!
