So, yesterday began with a chest X-ray due to Brent coughing all night. It ended with a trip to the ER in Provo to have another thoracentesis where 1 1/2 liters of fluid was removed, with another liter that still needs to be removed. They can’t pull that much fluid off all at once or it causes other problems. The chest X-ray also showed that his new central line was again in the wrong place and had moved since being inserted last Friday. So, no TPN again last night. We are truly baffled at why this has now happened twice when he has never had this happen in 14 years of having Hickman tunnel IV’s.
Can’t wait to see what today brings...
We are tired. Like, really tired.

The purpose of starting this blog was to have an easy way for friends and relatives to keep up-to-date with Brent's condition. The last time he had surgery I spent so much time e-mailing and texting and calling everyone that I couldn't keep it all straight.
