Well, its been an interesting frustrating day. For the second night in a row they have screwed up Brents TPN. Long story that you probably wouldn't understand, but it all resulted in his blood sugars crashing. He has been fighting it all day and it is still way low even with IV dextrose. Also this morning his Hickman IV port that is in his chest decided to cause problems. He has two lines and one of the lines got a hole in it rendering it useless. So, now the whole Hickman has to be replaced which is a pain. Argh. Been waiting all day for them to come get him. I guess we should be thankful that it happened now and not at home.

Everyone asks when he will go home. We have no idea. As far as we can tell everything related to the surgery is going well. It's all just a waiting game that we play everytime we are here.

Anyway, thats whats going on. Not a whole lot. His brother, Dennis came up for a visit and that was great. His sister works right across the street from the hospital so we get to visit often.

My Mom went home from the hospital. Not sure what happens next. Hoping to move her into a more assisted living apt.
