Not a whole lot to report. Went to IMED this morning for another CT and visit with Dr. Price. CT shows that nothing has really changed. The drain that is in, is in an abscess that is still communicating with the intestine. Not much has been draining out though, which is good. The fistula on the incision stopped draining the day after he came home from the hospital last week. Dr. Price tried to reopen it today. Guess we will see what happens. It's one of those things where you almost get a little bit of hope built up that maybe, just maybe, the fistula closed up on its own like it is supposed to, but which never does. Getting our hopes up almost always sets us up for disappointment. (wow, sorry for the negativity, just speaking the truth.)

so, we are still just in a holding pattern. We do a lot of waiting. He discontinued the IV antibiotics yesterday, so we will see if he is able to go without them. that would be nice.

Anyways, that is what is happening around here. The girls are both gone, back to school. Tina left Wednesday and Michelle left today. Brent says it's quiet again, I say it's too quiet again. :( Michelle begins her last semester of nursing school on Monday. Yay! She will spend a lot of time in St. George at the hospital finishing up her shadowing. That's where she follows a nurse, does all the work, but the nurse gets paid for it. :)

thanks for checking in.
Lisa
