Brent just got out of surgery. He is in the icu but we hear he is doing well, haven't seen him yet. He's in the icu just to be closely watched. The doctor cleaned out a bunch of infection and inserted a tube into the hole in the intestine. The tube will drain to a bag on the surface and form a fistula that we want. eventually the doctor will seal the tube off and let it heal. He has a drain next to the tube in case it leaks around the hole. He closed the incision on the front of his abdomen a little because the doctor doesn't want a wound vac on it sucking from the side and undoing what he just did.
